About

MY BACKGROUND

I am a junior in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. My interests lie in research: quantum computing in building nanoscale devices from superconducting oxides for cryogenic experiments. I am a Research Assistant in Dr. Evgeny Mikheev's lab in the Physics Department, and our aim is to combine superconductivity with gate voltage tunability, geometries with reduced dimensionality (quantum constrictions, wires, dots, rings), and microwave resonator structures. Two long-term goals are the stabilization and detection of topological superconductivity in an oxide wire, and integration of oxide superconductor materials into superconducting qubits. We are particularly interested in oxide perovskites SrTiO3 and KTaO3, both as unique technological enablers and for their fascinating material physics. I also work with Dr. Marc Cahay, ECE Department Head to learn quantum programming and gain cleanroom experience. These skills will be helpful as 2 sides of my research's coin.
The University Honors Program (UHP) has many opportunities for research and collaboration with different professors and universities which will help me get the exposure I need to form a network of strong, like-minded individuals. The co-op program housed in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Cincinnati is also really great in this regard. I will be able to gain a deep, practical understanding of my field by working at different companies for more than a year during my college education. This perfect blend of academic research and industry work will help me reach new heights.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of projects that have allowed me to grow my skills and work on research in the engineering field. I hope you’ll enjoy viewing my projects as much as I enjoyed working on them. Go ahead and explore, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more.
